SUNDAYS

AT

WHAT TO EXPECT

Children and Youths

Sundays are family-friendly experience where everyone finds a place to connect and learn together. Children join adults for the beginning of the service, singing and praying together. Our Children’s Ministry leaders then lead kids (Pre-K through 5th grade) to their age-specific classes. They return to the sanctuary towards the end, often during the final songs. Teenagers stay with the adults to hear and be edified the sermon.

Exegetical Preaching

Our pastors engage in exegetical preaching, which means they delve into entire books of the Bible, taking it section by section and translating the text into meaningful exhortations for the congregation. This approach may lead us to spend a month or more on a single book, meticulously processing every word. It's all done with the intention of bringing glory to God and ensuring it benefits all of us in the congregation. We believe this focused exploration enhances our understanding and connection with the scriptures.

Music

Our music is mostly contemporary, yet we deeply respect and cherish the timeless value of hymns and Psalms. In our worship, you'll experience a beautiful blend as we also play contemporized versions of these cherished hymns. It's a celebration of both the richness of tradition and the vibrancy of the present.

Baptism

Baptism stands as a meaningful symbol and confirmation of God's covenant of grace with us. It visually expresses our cleansing in Christ's blood, burial unto death, and rising to embrace a renewed life. Baptism is a shared experience within the congregation, embodying both individual and collective faith. As individuals undergo this transformative ceremony, the congregation commits to supporting their spiritual journey. Baptism becomes a distinctive marker of both personal and communal faith, marking the beginning of a shared journey within the church community.

Communion, Open Table

At Living Hope Church, Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is a precious gift from Christ. On the night of his betrayal, Jesus shared bread, saying, “This is my body for you,” and a cup of wine, proclaiming, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.” Join us in partaking in remembrance of Him

At Living Hope Church, following Jesus’ example and instruction, when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we receive gifts of bread and wine.

With gratitude, we break the bread, pour the wine, and share the meal together. In these simple yet profound actions, believers experience a mystery: Christ is present, and His life becomes ours. Just as baptism signifies our connection to Christ, the Lord’s Supper serves as a means for Christ to continually nourish, strengthen, and comfort us. Join us in this sacred practice of sharing and partaking in the life of Christ.

Open Table: The Communion table at Living Hope is open to anyone who is a baptized, professing believer in Jesus Christ, in good standing with the church. You do not have to be a member to partake of the elements.

5th Sundays

Join us for 5th Sunday Worship, where things take a delightful twist. On these Sundays, all children stay with the adults in the sanctuary throughout the entire service. Don't worry about crying babies, noisy kids, random bathroom breaks, or surprise outbursts – it's all absolutely fine. We embrace the joyful chaos and appreciate that you bring your little ones to church. Your family is welcome just as you are.
